describing me as having a 'multimodal' learning preference.
I would most definately agree that I prefer the Kinesthetic approach to learning and so am not surprised by my results. I tend to prefer learning through a variety of techniques combined; mostly Kinesthetic and Visual approaches and this can even sometimes transform a topic which I might not usually find interesting in to wanting to learn more.
I would agree that my least favourite method of learning is through reading and writing. Note-taking and reading may occasionally become tedious to me and sometimes I might have difficulty extracting the most important and useful information from a text or dialogue, instead selecting too much. I do feel that my skills in this area have increased immensely with practice though, and I hope that the note-taking practice in tutorial 2 will give me further guidance in this area. Apart from this I believe that with the increased reading that will be required throughout the course anyway my skills will naturally progress regarding this issue.
I would say that you have a more creative style - kinesthetic and visual are the highest scores.

As stated on the Myers Briggs Type Indicator Website my personality type is described as follows:
ReplyDeleteINTJ
Have original minds and great drive for implementing their ideas and achieving their goals. Quickly see patterns in external events and develop long-range explanatory perspectives. When committed, organize a job and carry it through. Skeptical and independent, have high standards of competence and performance – for themselves and others.
The INTJ type group represents 7%.
I believe this to be a fair analysis and resembles my personality type fairly well, particularly the reference to my organizational skills and commitment to jobs I have been made responsible for.
